Basking buttercups, a carpet of yellow,
Cover the lush, hillside meadows.
Their bowl-shaped petals face the sun,
Devils in disguise, these poisonous weeds.
Bees buzz, and flit from flower to flower,
Greedily gobbling up pollen.
Dandelion seed heads float in the wind,
Flocculent, other worldly, starting their journey.
